The European Menopause and Andropause Society (EMAS) is pleased to launch the sixth round of its Junior Mentorship Programme (JuMP) for the period 2025–2027.
This 18-month programme offers selected junior health professionals the opportunity to be mentored by internationally recognised experts in the field of midlife and post-reproductive health.

These criteria are intended to ensure that JuMP projects are feasible, scientifically grounded, and aligned with the research mission of EMAS.

Mentees must either hold a doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) or be currently pursuing one.
Among the remaining eligible mentees, priority will be given to those affiliated with a university or academic institution.
JuMP stands for Junior Mentorship Program. It is the mentoring program of the scientific society EMAS for young aspiring scientists from the fields of medicine, health sciences and natural sciences.
No. EMAS will match selected mentees with appropriate mentors based on shared research interests.
Yes. Applicants are encouraged to share an area of interest or a proposed research topic, though this will be refined with the mentor.
Eligible topics include menopause, cardiovascular health, bone health, mental health, healthy aging, endocrine issues, sexual health, and other areas related to post-reproductive health.
Mentees are selected based on their motivation letter, eligibility, alignment with EMAS goals, research potential, and professional background.
